Chris Ihler is the Chief Executive Officer at Archetype Energy. Mr. Ihler is responsible for leading the company’s overall business strategy and operations. He focuses on driving Archetype’s growth in the solar and storage sectors, leveraging his experience in renewable energy development and transaction management.
Mr. Ihler previously served as the Chief Executive Officer and founder of EnergyLink, a fully integrated and nationally accredited EnergyService Company (ESCO) specializing in financial energy modeling, project funding, and EPC capabilities for energy transition assets. Under his leadership, EnergyLink grew to over 90 employees and completed more than 180 middle market projects across 23 states. The company became an industry leader in managing complex and integrated installations for solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, and automation solutions, both in front of and behind the meter.
With 14 years of experience in the decarbonization space, Mr. Ihler is widely recognized as a leading figure in the commercial and industrial (C&I) and middle market renewable energy sectors. His expertise in energy implementation financing and sustainable project development positions him as an authority in delivering financial returns while driving sustainability. Mr. Ihler’s perspective uniquely blends the needs of small utility-scale and C&I offtake projects, ensuring successful outcomes at the intersection of sustainability, implementation, and financial return.
Mr. Ihler graduated from the University of Missouri and continues to lead Archetype Energy with a focus on innovation and leadership in the renewable energy market, particularly within the C&I and middle market sectors.
